Anton LaVey as a T-800
For the uninitiated, Anton Szandor LaVey was the founder of the Church of Satan. A T-800 is the Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator model.
Some time ago, when I was first getting into pedal building, I purchased a few kits from a company called Dwarfcraft Devices. This one is called the Robot Devil. It’s a sub-octave fuzz capable of turning your instrument signal into a ravaged pile of regurgitated nails… and bird sounds. I use it all the time.
This is actually a repaint. When I first put it together the left was red and the right was blue, but I was never very happy with how dark it became when the two colors blended. The graphic was barely visible. After a healthy sanding, and a few coats of red enamel I’m a lot happier with the clarity. The graphics are always applied the same way; acrylic gel transfer of a laser print with a few coats of spray poly to seal it all up.
