Just dropped this painting off today where it will be participating in a group show at the Huntington Arts Council Main Street Gallery.

Two hour life study from last night

Tried some colors new to me on this one; Greenish Umber and Venetian Red. I never heard of Greenish Umber until I found a tube in the remnants pile at the studio where I teach. The tinting strength left more to be desired but the paint itself was quite workable with a nice hue. For such a quick painting I’m really pleased with it.
